Job Summary Work directly with the Country Director for Ukraine, in relation to all safety and security related matters. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation. Main Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and update the Ukraine specific security guidelines and SOPs when required in conjunction with the Global Security department. Liaison with local security organizations, local security authorities, the Police and other Emergency services within Ukraine. Assist with the registration of new staff members, registration of IMC offices, guesthouse and warehouse applications. Assist in gaining permission to restricted access areas (for staff and vehicles) for all locations in Ukraine, if operationally permissible. Liaise with and advise Security Focal Points (SFP) when required. Monitor security activities within the program areas. Ensure that all IMC field staff are fully cognizant of prevailing security threats and fully advised on mitigation measures to reduce staff vulnerability to those threats. Ensure internal incident tracking system is utilized correctly. Perform limited incident mapping and analysis, where required. Work in conjunction with the IMC Logistics and Transport Managers to ensure all drivers who work with or for IMC are to be fully briefed on all aspects of IMC driver’s policies. Manage, coordinate and implement all IMC guards’ duties, work schedules and attendance sheets where applicable for all central and southern IMC locations. Qualifications: 3 – 5 years of work experience at Security Officer/Management level (Security Services, Police or Civil Defense). Strong understanding of the security situation in the Ukraine, with specific knowledge and understanding of the current conflict. Experience in conducting security duties safely and efficiently in challenging environments. Practical experience and knowledge of Risk, Threat and Vulnerability assessments, conflict mitigation and first aid. Strong negotiation, interpersonal and organization skills Ability to speak or brief in public, respond appropriately to questions from Senior managers and peers alike. Ability to read and write in English. To produce written reports and emails and send to the CD, and DGS.
